In Acts 10:38 we read of Jesus, “He went about doing good.” Jesus personally did good deeds. He touched the leper with His own finger, He anointed the eyes of the blind, and He went Himself to the sick and personally delivered a healing cure. It is a lesson to us, if we intend do good, we should do it ourselves.
Let us not become weary in doing good deeds. Jesus Christ was never deterred by danger or difficulty. Our Lord did not only do the good deeds which were convenient to Him, but He “went about” on His errands of mercy. He actively sought out the objects of His gracious intentions. So too must we, for “He hath left us an example that we should follow in His steps.”
